    Public Sector Organisations
As public sector organisations are funded by public money they may use wikis as a way to be transparent about their operations to the general public. They may also see it as a way to release information to the general public. For example, the UK government set up a wiki dedicated to the spread of flu in Britain and to offer people tips on how to avoid the flu, [5]. The trend has been for wikis that are set up by public organisations to have "stronger safeguards" than typical wikis [6].
Another company that uses a wiki is Camp America. The wiki is mainly used to give people information about what is happening at the camp, it lets people know about any changes that are taking place etc. There is also forms and stuff on the wiki for staff to print off and fill in.

    It
    can become
It can be hard to see who has edited what information, a way around this could be for everyone to use a different colour of font.
There may be security issues as accounts could be hacked allowing unauthorised people access
There may be disputes and disagreements over what should go on the wiki and arbitration may be needed
As it can be edited by anyone all content is subjective and may be influenced by opinion rather than fact
People may not have the necessary IT skills to fully participate in a wiki
